In January 1987, Sharon Miller Pryse founded The Trust Company of Knoxville. The Trust Company is a state charted bank with powers limited to trust powers. We are subject to annual audits by State bank examiners as well as our external audit firm, Pugh & Company.
Our Board is committed to providing personal trust and investment services within a strong business organization. It is our pleasure to provide financial solutions to the East Tennessee community by offering services in the areas of Investment Management, Personal Trust, 401k and Retirement Plans, IRAs, Financial Planning, and Estate & Generational Planning.
The Trust Company has assembled a strong professional staff to meet the needs of our clients. Our 49 employees include three CPAs, one attorney, and two Certified Financial Planners.
With over $1 billion under management, we stand firmly behind our long-held philosophy of managing portfolio risk through diversification.

The assets on our balance sheet are all liquid assets, cash, and cash equivalents. We employ no financial leverage in our business and we have no third party debt. Nor do we have direct exposure to sub prime debt, derivatives, credit default swaps, or other securitized products.
